² G1519 That G5209 ye G4531 be G3361 not G5030 soon G4531 shaken [G5683]   G575 in G3563 mind G3383 , or G2360 be troubled [G5745]   G3383 , neither G1223 by G4151 spirit G3383 , nor G1223 by G3056 word G3383 , nor G1223 by G1992 letter G5613 as G1223 from G2257 us G5613 , as G3754 that G2250 the day G5547 of Christ G1764 is at hand [G5758]  .

³ G1818 Let G3361 no G5100 man G1818 deceive [G5661]   G5209 you G2596 by G3367 any G5158 means G3754 : for G3362 that day shall not come, except G2064 there come [G5632]   G646 a falling away G4412 first G2532 , and G444 that man G266 of sin G601 be revealed [G5686]   G5207 , the son G684 of perdition;

⁴ G3588 Who G480 opposeth [G5740]   G2532 and G5229 exalteth [G5746]   G1909 himself above G3956 all G3004 that is called [G5746]   G2316 God G2228 , or G4574 that is worshipped G5620 ; so G846 that he G5613 as G2316 God G2523 sitteth [G5658]   G1519 in G3485 the temple G2316 of God G584 , shewing [G5723]   G1438 himself G3754 that G2076 he is [G5748]   G2316 God.

⁵ G3421 Remember ye [G5719]   G3756 not G3754 , that G5607 , when I was [G5752]   G2089 yet G4314 with G5209 you G3004 , I told [G5707]   G5213 you G5023 these things?

⁶ G2532 And G3568 now G1492 ye know [G5758]   G2722 what withholdeth [G5723]   G1519 that G846 he G601 might be revealed [G5683]   G1722 in G1438 his G2540 time.

⁸ G2532 And G5119 then G601 shall G459 that Wicked G601 be revealed [G5701]   G3739 , whom G2962 the Lord G355 shall consume [G5692]   G4151 with the spirit G846 of his G4750 mouth G2532 , and G2673 shall destroy [G5692]   G2015 with the brightness G846 of his G3952 coming:

⁹ G3739 Even him, whose G3952 coming G2076 is [G5748]   G2596 after G1753 the working G4567 of Satan G1722 with G3956 all G1411 power G2532 and G4592 signs G2532 and G5579 lying G5059 wonders,

¹⁰ G2532 And G1722 with G3956 all G539 deceivableness G93 of unrighteousness G1722 in G622 them that perish [G5730]   G473 ; because G3739   G1209 they received [G5662]   G3756 not G26 the love G225 of the truth G1519 , that G846 they G4982 might be saved [G5683]  .

¹¹ G2532 And G5124 for this G1223 cause G2316 God G3992 shall send [G5692]   G846 them G1753 strong G4106 delusion G1519 , that G846 they G4100 should believe [G5658]   G5579 a lie:

¹² G2443 That G3956 they all G2919 might be damned [G5686]   G3588 who G4100 believed [G5660]   G3361 not G225 the truth G235 , but G2106 had pleasure [G5660]   G1722 in G93 unrighteousness.

¹³ G1161 But G2249 we G3784 are bound [G5719]   G2168 to give thanks [G5721]   G3842 alway G2316 to God G4012 for G5216 you G80 , brethren G25 beloved [G5772]   G5259 of G2962 the Lord G3754 , because G2316 God G138 hath G575 from G746 the beginning G138 chosen [G5639]   G5209 you G1519 to G4991 salvation G1722 through G38 sanctification G4151 of the Spirit G2532 and G4102 belief G225 of the truth:

¹⁴ G1519 Whereunto G3739   G2564 he called [G5656]   G5209 you G1223 by G2257 our G2098 gospel G1519 , to G4047 the obtaining G1391 of the glory G2257 of our G2962 Lord G2424 Jesus G5547 Christ.

¹⁵ G686 Therefore G3767   G80 , brethren G4739 , stand fast [G5720]   G2532 , and G2902 hold [G5720]   G3862 the traditions G3739 which G1321 ye have been taught [G5681]   G1535 , whether G1223 by G3056 word G1535 , or G1223   G2257 our G1992 epistle.
