² H1696 Speak [H8761]   H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H559 , saying [H8800]   H2063 , These H2416 are the beasts H398 which ye shall eat [H8799]   H929 among all the beasts H776 that are on the earth.

³ H6536 Whatsoever parteth [H8688]   H6541 the hoof H8156 , and is clovenfooted [H8802]   H8157   H5927 , and cheweth [H8688]   H1625 the cud H929 , among the beasts H398 , that shall ye eat [H8799]  .

⁴ H389 Nevertheless H398 these shall ye not eat [H8799]   H5927 of them that chew [H8688]   H1625 the cud H6536 , or of them that divide [H8688]   H6541 the hoof H1581 : as the camel H5927 , because he cheweth [H8688]   H1625 the cud H6536 , but divideth [H8688]   H6541 not the hoof H2931 ; he is unclean unto you.

⁵ H8227 And the coney H5927 , because he cheweth [H8688]   H1625 the cud H6536 , but divideth [H8686]   H6541 not the hoof H2931 ; he is unclean unto you.

⁶ H768 And the hare H5927 , because he cheweth [H8688]   H1625 the cud H6536 , but divideth [H8689]   H6541 not the hoof H2931 ; he is unclean unto you.

⁷ H2386 And the swine H6536 , though he divide [H8688]   H6541 the hoof H8156 , and be clovenfooted [H8802]   H8157   H1641 , yet he cheweth [H8735]   H1625 not the cud H2931 ; he is unclean to you.

⁸ H1320 Of their flesh H398 shall ye not eat [H8799]   H5038 , and their carcase H5060 shall ye not touch [H8799]   H2931 ; they are unclean to you.

⁹ H398 These shall ye eat [H8799]   H4325 of all that are in the waters H5579 : whatsoever hath fins H7193 and scales H4325 in the waters H3220 , in the seas H5158 , and in the rivers H398 , them shall ye eat [H8799]  .

¹⁰ H5579 And all that have not fins H7193 and scales H3220 in the seas H5158 , and in the rivers H8318 , of all that move H4325 in the waters H2416 , and of any living H5315 thing H4325 which is in the waters H8263 , they shall be an abomination unto you:

¹¹ H8263 They shall be even an abomination H398 unto you; ye shall not eat [H8799]   H1320 of their flesh H5038 , but ye shall have their carcases H8262 in abomination [H8762]  .

¹² H5579 Whatsoever hath no fins H7193 nor scales H4325 in the waters H8263 , that shall be an abomination unto you.

¹³ H8262 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination [H8762]   H4480 among H5775 the fowls H398 ; they shall not be eaten [H8735]   H8263 , they are an abomination H5404 : the eagle H6538 , and the ossifrage H5822 , and the ospray,

¹⁴ H1676 And the vulture H344 , and the kite H4327 after his kind;

¹⁵ H6158 Every raven H4327 after his kind;

¹⁶ H1323 And the owl H3284   H8464 , and the night hawk H7828 , and the cuckow H5322 , and the hawk H4327 after his kind,

¹⁷ H3563 And the little owl H7994 , and the cormorant H3244 , and the great owl,

¹⁸ H8580 And the swan H6893 , and the pelican H7360 , and the gier eagle,

¹⁹ H2624 And the stork H601 , the heron H4327 after her kind H1744 , and the lapwing H5847 , and the bat.

²⁰ H5775 All fowls H8318 that creep H1980 , going [H8802]   H702 upon all four H8263 , shall be an abomination unto you.

²¹ H398 Yet these may ye eat [H8799]   H5775 of every flying H8318 creeping H1980 thing that goeth [H8802]   H702 upon all four H3767 , which have legs H4605 above H7272 their feet H5425 , to leap [H8763]   H2004 withal H776 upon the earth;

²² H398 Even these of them ye may eat [H8799]   H697 ; the locust H4327 after his kind H5556 , and the bald locust H4327 after his kind H2728 , and the beetle H4327 after his kind H2284 , and the grasshopper H4327 after his kind.

²³ H5775 But all other flying H8318 creeping things H702 , which have four H7272 feet H8263 , shall be an abomination unto you.

²⁴ H2930 And for these ye shall be unclean [H8691]   H5060 : whosoever toucheth [H8802]   H5038 the carcase H2930 of them shall be unclean [H8799]   H6153 until the even.

²⁵ H5375 And whosoever beareth [H8802]   H5038 ought of the carcase H3526 of them shall wash [H8762]   H899 his clothes H2930 , and be unclean [H8804]   H6153 until the even.

²⁶ H929 The carcases of every beast H6536 which divideth [H8688]   H6541 the hoof H8157 , and is not clovenfooted H8156   [H8802]   H5927 , nor cheweth [H8688]   H1625 the cud H2931 , are unclean H5060 unto you: every one that toucheth [H8802]   H2930 them shall be unclean [H8799]  .

²⁷ H3605 And whatsoever H1992   H1980 goeth [H8802]   H3709 upon his paws H2416 , among all manner of beasts H1980 that go [H8802]   H702 on all four H2931 , those are unclean H5060 unto you: whoso toucheth [H8802]   H5038 their carcase H2930 shall be unclean [H8799]   H6153 until the even.

²⁸ H5375 And he that beareth [H8802]   H5038 the carcase H3526 of them shall wash [H8762]   H899 his clothes H2930 , and be unclean [H8804]   H6153 until the even H2931 : they are unclean unto you.

²⁹ H2931 These also shall be unclean H8318 unto you among the creeping things H8317 that creep [H8802]   H776 upon the earth H2467 ; the weasel H5909 , and the mouse H6632 , and the tortoise H4327 after his kind,

³⁰ H604 And the ferret H3581 , and the chameleon H3911 , and the lizard H2546 , and the snail H8580 , and the mole.

³¹ H2931 These are unclean H8318 to you among all that creep H5060 : whosoever doth touch [H8802]   H4194 them, when they be dead H2930 , shall be unclean [H8799]   H6153 until the even.

³² H4194 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead H5307 , doth fall [H8799]   H2930 , it shall be unclean [H8799]   H3627 ; whether it be any vessel H6086 of wood H899 , or raiment H5785 , or skin H8242 , or sack H3627 , whatsoever vessel H4399 it be, wherein any work H6213 is done [H8735]   H935 , it must be put [H8714]   H4325 into water H2930 , and it shall be unclean [H8804]   H6153 until the even H2891 ; so it shall be cleansed [H8804]  .

³³ H2789 And every earthen H3627 vessel H5307 , whereinto any of them falleth [H8799]   H8432   H2930 , whatsoever is in it shall be unclean [H8799]   H7665 ; and ye shall break [H8799]   it.

³⁴ H400 Of all meat H398 which may be eaten [H8735]   H4325 , that on which such water H935 cometh [H8799]   H2930 shall be unclean [H8799]   H4945 : and all drink H8354 that may be drunk [H8735]   H3627 in every such vessel H2930 shall be unclean [H8799]  .

³⁵ H5038 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase H5307 falleth [H8799]   H2930 shall be unclean [H8799]   H8574 ; whether it be oven H3600 , or ranges H5422 for pots, they shall be broken down [H8714]   H2931 : for they are unclean H2931 , and shall be unclean unto you.

³⁶ H4599 Nevertheless a fountain H953 or pit H4723 , wherein there is plenty H4325 of water H2889 , shall be clean H5060 : but that which toucheth [H8802]   H5038 their carcase H2930 shall be unclean [H8799]  .

³⁷ H5038 And if any part of their carcase H5307 fall [H8799]   H2221 upon any sowing H2233 seed H2232 which is to be sown [H8735]   H2889 , it shall be clean.

³⁸ H4325 But if any water H5414 be put [H8714]   H2233 upon the seed H5038 , and any part of their carcase H5307 fall [H8804]   H2931 thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

³⁹ H929 And if any beast H402 , of which ye may eat H4191 , die [H8799]   H5060 ; he that toucheth [H8802]   H5038 the carcase H2930 thereof shall be unclean [H8799]   H6153 until the even.

⁴⁰ H398 And he that eateth [H8802]   H5038 of the carcase H3526 of it shall wash [H8762]   H899 his clothes H2930 , and be unclean [H8804]   H6153 until the even H5375 : he also that beareth [H8802]   H5038 the carcase H3526 of it shall wash [H8762]   H899 his clothes H2930 , and be unclean [H8804]   H6153 until the even.

⁴¹ H8318 And every creeping thing H8317 that creepeth [H8802]   H776 upon the earth H8263 shall be an abomination H398 ; it shall not be eaten [H8735]  .

⁴² H1980 Whatsoever goeth [H8802]   H1512 upon the belly H1980 , and whatsoever goeth [H8802]   H702 upon all four H7235 , or whatsoever hath more [H8688]   H7272 feet H8318 among all creeping things H8317 that creep [H8802]   H776 upon the earth H398 , them ye shall not eat [H8799]   H8263 ; for they are an abomination.

⁴³ H8262 Ye shall not make H5315 yourselves H8262 abominable [H8762]   H8318 with any creeping thing H8317 that creepeth [H8802]   H2933 , neither shall ye make yourselves unclean [H8738]   H2930 with them, that ye should be defiled [H8691]   thereby.

⁴⁴ H3068 For I am the LORD H430 your God H6942 : ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves [H8694]   H6918 , and ye shall be holy H6918 ; for I am holy H2930 : neither shall ye defile [H8762]   H5315 yourselves H8318 with any manner of creeping thing H7430 that creepeth [H8802]   H776 upon the earth.

⁴⁵ H3068 For I am the LORD H5927 that bringeth [H8688]   H776 you up out of the land H4714 of Egypt H430 , to be your God H6918 : ye shall therefore be holy H6918 , for I am holy.

⁴⁶ H8451 This is the law H929 of the beasts H5775 , and of the fowl H2416 , and of every living H5315 creature H7430 that moveth [H8802]   H4325 in the waters H5315 , and of every creature H8317 that creepeth [H8802]   H776 upon the earth:

⁴⁷ H914 To make a difference [H8687]   H2931 between the unclean H2889 and the clean H2416 , and between the beast H398 that may be eaten [H8737]   H2416 and the beast H398 that may not be eaten [H8735]  .
