Matthew 15:39), see Fritzsche at the passage (B. D. American edition under the word). Derivation of the name uncertain; cf. Keim, ii. 528 ((English translation 4:238), who associates it with Zalmonah, Numbers 33:41f, but mentions other opinions. Furrer in the Zeitschr. des Deutsch.
