God's desire is that his children walk in obedience to him through his Word, that is, He doesn’t want them to sin, but if that is the case, they will have the benefit of being free from guilt and condemnation through Jesus Christ.
When a child of God falls to temptation, an important legal trial is opened in the spiritual realm where the parts involved are: the believer who committed the fault, the just Judge (God the Father), and the accuser (Satan), who expects the worst of verdicts for the transgressor of God's law. But where there seems to be a dead end, Jesus Christ (the Advocate) enters the scene and opens a door of mercy, forgiveness and hope.
He (Jesus Christ) takes the place of the accused ones to justify him; He comes before the Judge, simply says, «Dad, this one belongs to me, I paid his price, I received the wrath and punishment he deserves from this court.» The Judge as a final verdict says: «The penalty has been paid in full by My Son» and closes the case.
«Someone expressed this reality in the following way: "I hear the accuser roaring, expressing the evils that I have committed; I know them very well, and thousands more, but the Lord finds none. Although the tireless enemy accuses...our God rejects every accusation, because Christ has covered (the sins) with His blood."»
Christ, through his sacrifice on the cross, took man's place and received the punishment he deserved for his sin. He paid the high price to remove the sentence of eternal condemnation from humanity before the just Judge; This is why all those who come to Him obtain the wonderful benefit of salvation through justification.
Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for showing your love towards me through your beloved Son Jesus Christ the just (my Advocate) who paid the price I deserved for my sins and thus giving me the opportunity to have a personal relationship with you, the salvation of my soul and many other benefits. For this I ask you to help me live for you, to please you through obedience to your Word, to develop a strong relationship with your Holy Spirit to develop the correct fruit that will give me the strength and self-control to say NO to sin and YES to your good, perfect, and pleasing will. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
