Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies?
Has God [deliberately] abandoned or forgotten His graciousness? Has He in anger shut up His compassion? Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
Has God forgotten how to be gracious? Has he angrily stopped up his compassion?”
