But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; Yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
But now because God has not [speedily] punished in His anger and seems to be unaware of the wrong and oppression [of which a person is guilty],
But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, Neither doth he greatly regard arrogance;
Even though his anger is now held back, a person doesn’t know it’s only delayed.
For, at the present time, he does not bring forth his fury, nor does he punish sin exceedingly.
For he doth not now bring on his fury: neither doth he revenge wickedness exceedingly.
