Psalm 150 - CSB Study Bible

Psalm 150

150:1 On Hallelujah! see note at 146:1. As each of the five books in the Psalms ends with a doxology, the whole book concludes with a psalm of doxology.

150:2 Derek Kidner suggests that whereas the first half of this verse praises God for his mighty acts, the second half praises him for what he is in himself.

150:3-5 The sophistication of ancient sacred music is clear from the wide range of instruments used for temple worship. All three classifications—wind instruments, strings, and percussion—are represented.

150:6 It is only logical that everything that has been given the breath of life from the Creator ought to praise him (149:2).
