Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Some are fools [made ill] because of the way of their transgressions and are afflicted because of their iniquities.
Some of the redeemed were fools because of their sinful ways. They suffered because of their wickedness.
