Surely God will not hear vanity, Neither will the Almighty regard it.
Surely God will refuse to answer [the cry which is] vanity (vain and empty–instead of abiding trust); neither will the Almighty regard it–
Surely God will not hear an empty cry, Neither will the Almighty regard it.
God certainly doesn’t respond to a deceitful cry; the Almighty doesn’t pay attention to it.
Therefore, God does not hear in vain, and the Almighty will look into each and every case.
