And wanting to know the reason that they objected to him, I brought him into their council.
And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council:
And wishing to know the exact accusation which they were making against him, I brought him down before their council (Sanhedrin),
And desiring to know the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him down unto their council:
I wanted to find out why they were accusing him, so I brought him to their council.
